Bingo Bango Bongo, What Is In a Name-o?

“Reformer:” A name that’s been much favored among the specialists in Obamic diplospeak, deployed not long ago with appallingly perverse promiscuity to describe the Syrian despot/slaughterer, and now, with its own delicious ludicrousness, as an encomium for a visiting dictator, M. le Président du Gabon, Ali Bongo. (Will they give him White House Honey Gastrique?)

But what’s in a name? That which Mr. Obama & Co. call a reformer/by any other name would smell as rank. Bongo of Gabon would, were he not Bongo call’d. Reformer, doff thy name/and for that name, which is no part of thee, take “Pillager.”

And Obama, deny thy office and refuse thy claim. ’Tis not thy name that is my enemy, but thy policies.

What’s a president? O, be some other name. Soon.

  1. Wife Abusing Muslim Dictator invited to White House Dinner

WASHINGTON, DC – Jun 8, 2011 – African dictator Ali Bongo will meet Barack Obama in the White House this Thursday. Bongo is accused of mutilating his wife, manipulating election results, imprisoning political opponents, and embezzling billions from Gabon’s treasury.

Bongo’s wife, American-born Inge Bongo, told ABC News that “Ali got very violent, he had me kidnapped several times, he had me mutilated, he beat me beyond recognition." A claim supported by photos shown to ABC News reporters.

Bongo converted to Islam after a military coup brought his father to power. The Bongos have ruled Gabon’s Christian majority by force for over 40 years, and in that time, banned the official opposition party, imprisoned democracy activists including Christian bishop Mike Jocktane, and violently suppressed street protest amidst evidence of election fraud.

A 2010, US Senate report on foreign corruption released by Senators Carl Levin (D-Mich) and Tom Coburn (R-Okla), singled-out Bongo’s embezzlement. “Ali Bongo…amassed substantial wealth while in office, amid the extreme poverty of citizens”, further disclosing, “Bongo brought $1 million in shrink-wrapped $100 bills into the United States… without declaring the cash to U.S. authorities as required by law.”

The average monthly income in Gabon is $15, leading to one of the highest infant mortality rates globally. In contrast, Bongo purchased a $150 million mansion in Paris, and his wife appeared on a VH1’s TV show attempting to buy a $25 million mansion in Malibu.

Those of us concerned with women’s rights, democracy, and America’s safety, call upon President Obama to cancel his meeting with Ali Bongo. Our tax dollars should not be used to entertain a wife-abusing Muslim dictator who doesn’t respect the laws or values of the United States.
